Saugata Gupta is Chief Executive Officer, Consumer Products Business at Marico Limited., a leading Indian Group operating in the Beauty and Wellness space in India and abroad with a sales turnover of USD 600 mn and a market cap of USD 1.3 bn. As the CEO, Mr. Gupta oversees the India FMCG business of the company which contributes to around 75% of the Marico group turnover.
Prior to this, he was Chief - Marketing & Group Sales at ICICI Prudential and was part of the startup top team that was instrumental in turning the company into the largest private sector Insurance firm in the country. An alumnus of IIT Kharagpur and IIM Bangalore, Mr. Gupta started his career as a Management Trainee with Cadbury India. His last assignment with Cadbury’s was as Marketing Manager – Chocolates

Mr. Gupta has been featured twice in the list of Business Today’s” Hottest Young Executives”. In 2003 Media Magazine nominated him as Asia’s Top Marketers while Economic Times Brand Equity featured him as one of India’s Hotshot Marketers. In his spare time he loves travelling, music and films.
