Prakash Bagri

Prakash Bagri is currently Intel’s Director of Marketing for South Asia and responsible for driving brand and market growth strategies for all Intel’s products and technologies in the region. Prakash joined Intel in 1999 and has carried out a gamut of business roles with the technology major over the past decade. His last assignment was as Director of OEM business covering all aspects of engagement with MNC and local OEM customers.
 
Prior to Intel, Prakash spent 7+ years with Hindustan Unilever Ltd (then Hindustan Lever Ltd) in different sales and marketing functions. During his stint with the FMCG major, Prakash worked across 9 different foods & beverages brands spanning the premium range of teas from Lipton (Green Label & Lipton Yellow Label) to the mass oils & fats business with Dalda, Flora et al.
 
Prakash then made the shift to the technology industry joining Intel to establish local market activation and demand generation initiatives. During the last 11 years, Prakash has focused his energies in helped evangelize the role of ICT in enhancing the social and economic lives of our people. His efforts in terms of building PC desirability in India was recognized through the Intel Achievement Award (an award often referred to as “Intel’s Nobel Prize" and presented to individuals and small teams for exemplary performance) in 2004. These efforts have helped increase PC penetration while building Intel, Pentium and now Core as household brands in India.
 
Prakash is an engineering graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and received his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
 
During his corporate career Prakash has specialized in the areas of strategic vision and business planning as well as building break-through marketing campaigns. He is a strong proponent of the role of the ecosystem and overall experience in helping enhance the marketing mix. Prakash is a regular spokesperson in media on the fields of technology and marketing, an active participant in industry forums and a visiting faculty across select business schools.
