| I have been working in the areas of brand building and marketing for a good part of the last 16 years. I have spent some parts of this 16-year period in sales and business development. However, I would term my contributions as more significant in the marketing space. |

| In marketing, I have had exposure across industries in India such as consumer durables ( Kitchenware – TTK Prestige), FMCG (tea – Tata Tea), Services, Automobiles (2-wheelers – TVS Motor Company), IT products (Lenovo) and now in the service industry (Café Coffee day). Each of these has been a unique learning experience in terms of diversity of customers, the supply chain and the levers of the customer choice process. |

| Some of the big brands I have contributed in some way to build are Prestige, Tata Tea, Tata Agni, TVS StaR, TVS Apache, TVS XL Super (Mopeds), Lenovo Thinkpads, Lenovo Ideapads and Café Coffee Day. |

| I also spent two years in trying to set up a web enabled services business targeted at expatriate Indians for their service needs in India. This venture was funded by TTK (a $600 mill business house in India) and a few high net worth expatriate Indians from the US. While this organization set up the service delivery process and the selling network, it was pretty slow to take off and had to be merged with another organization in the same space. Never the less it gave me a significant exposure to marketing outside India, albeit among Indians as well as the dynamics of an IT- enabled service business. |

| My strengths lie in connecting with customers in identifying their current latent needs and dissatisfactions with current products/ services that have served as significant inputs to product/ package development. The same has also aided me significantly in development of communication packages. In all these, the deliveries have not been of a staff nature and were always coupled with business deliverables such as the P&L. |
