Girish is a well known and accomplished MBA qualified sales and marketing professional with over 17 years with leading firms across Consumer Goods and Services sectors
 
Currently Head Branding ADA Group and CMO BIG Pictures he is part of the corporate strategy team and over the past 3 years has played various leadership roles having launched the high impact Reliance Power IPO campaign then been CMO at Reliance Capital the Financial Services wing and now Head Branding managing the BIG brand across the Media and Entertainment vertical & CMO BIG Pictures. He also supports the brand development Strategy for NIS SPARTA and the KDA hospital. Girish’s notable contributions have been the launch of Reliance Power, developing the BIG brand architecture across the Entertainment vertical straddling Music ,Home Video, Social Networking, Cinemas among others, establishment of the groups brand guidelines and Brand Knowledge portal.Campaigns that he has been associated with have won awards both in India as well as Internationally. During his tenure the Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group brand has moved up from Number 13 to number 3 among the Impact Buzziest Brands survey and to number 2 in the most valuable brands of India survey by 4Ps.
 
Girish has earlier been with the UB Group as Head Marketing of their JV with Scottish and Newcastle Europe’ s largest brewer having successfully grown their strong beer portfolio to volume and value leadership and then being offered a global position at group HQ which he declined to stay on and launch Kingfisher Airlines easily the most visible and high impact brand launch in the recent past . Girish has also held strong leadership roles with Johnson & Johnson having launched their Consumer pharmaceuticals division and with Reckitt Piramal in various Sales and Marketing positions.

  • Award for brand leadership in the hospitality and service category in ’06 at the India Brand Summit

Girish is an avid sportsman , plays squash ,swims and runs long distance . He is a well sought after public speaker and writer and been invited to speak in Domestic and International Marketing and Leadership forums across Asia and Australia.
